Born & based in Providence, RI - Marlisse is a first generation Dominican- American multifaceted photographer. She specializes in portraiture and event photography, and has been known to explore a more creative side with her travel photography.

Growing up, family and friends was the foundation of what got people through the seasons. Capturing moments during special occasions was a strong point of impact. Photography was treasured in the family, from ‘mami’ working endlessly on the kids photo albums to grandma having a museum of family photos - you can imagine the importance of archiving familial history was. As such, Marlisse gathers much joy and inspiration from being able to experience these once in lifetime moments with loved ones and capture those unforgettable memories to be cherished for those close and far for years to come.

Marlisse has been honing her skills professionally for the past few years, while integrating an early fondness to photography on a personal level much longer.

She has had her work featured at RI Galleries; The Water Fire Arts Center, The Gamm Theater, Trinity Repertory Company, and RI Center for Photographic Arts. Her portrait work explores the moments when subjects are in a natural flow state, guard down and truly expressive -subtly in the between moments, in attempts to capture subjects in their truest essence.

Marlisse is currently freelancing, providing photography services for special events, portraiture, and commission pieces for print.
